Pickit1 Timer2 PR2 Setting - alok...@yahoo.com - Mar 5 12:09:22 2009

Hi,

I have a question on some of the information given in AN258, page6.
The information says "Timer2 is set up to overflow at a frequency of 93.75 kHz". This is the Fpwm.
I checked the Page34 of PICkit1 Flash Starter Kit user's guide which shows that the FOSC is 6Mhz.
Timer2 prescalar is set to 1.
Based on this data if you calculate the value that should be set in PR2, it should be 15.
But if we check the firmware code in the file VppCntrl.asm on line 100, the value is 63.

Any help to understand this mis-match will be of great help?

Thanks,

With Regards,
Alok
