Software to Draw the PCB Circuit - j_woolsey - May 29 22:20:04 2009

I am new to doing hardware. I have programmed things in machine language before including device drivers. I feel very comfortable writing code in machine language.

I have researched and pretty much figured out the circuit in my head but I want to make a schematic so I can show it to people who are more
experienced in hardware to see if they can make suggestions and improve my design.

Is there a good open source windows package out there that will do this?
Eventually I will want to do PCB layout but right now that isn't too important. The most important thing is ease of learning for someone who
isn't that familiar with hardware.

thanks
John

You can try the software from ExpressPCB.com. One program is used to design the circuit and the other is used to lay out the PCB.

Free...
