Programming a 12C with a 16F programmer - Sam Powell - May 1 9:36:00 1999

I use a Maplin (ecencially a Tait device) PIC16F84 programmer, would it be
possible for me to use it to program a 12C508 or similar?

I am unsure as to the programming protocol so dont have a clue...
