Somebody has a free programmer(or link) for the 16F877A in internet? Can I modifie a "Classic" Flash PIC (TAIT) for that? or I need change the software? |

Hardware can be the same, the difference is in the software. IIRC the latest (beta?) version of ic-prog supports the 16F87xA chips. Maybe ponyprog does too? NB of course my own programmer product (http://www.voti.nl/wisp628) does support the 16F87xA (and the 12F's, the 16F630/676/ 16F818/819, 18Fxxx and 18Fxxxx). Available as kit or pre-build (but I'm out of stock on that), or you can build your own using the description on the webpage. You will need to program a 16F628, but I guess that is not a problem (or buy a programmed 16F628 from me).
