Help needed with a Code hopping encoder-decoder scheme - Author Unknown - Nov 20 5:54:00 2001

Dear members:
I´m currently envolved in a project dealing with access to buildings
using wireless commands. I´ve chossen the Microchip Code hopping
Encoder-Decoder scheme to improve security. More specifically, the
chips are HCS301 & HCS512 respectively.

My problem arises when I try to "sincronize" both chips by the
process called "learning" in the datasheets. I´m pretty sure the
manufacturer key, the system serial number and the selection of the
encryption procedure are correct, but I´m not able to get a
successful learning secuence.

I´ve found a lot of decoder based in PICs, but the learning secuence
described there is basically the same that I use. Even so, the
information in the Microchips datasheets is not very detailed.

¿Has anyone of you any helping idea or experience?

Thaks for your attention.
