Problems with the pic16f84a - Aaron Morris - Sep 15 18:34:00 2002

Sorry my message was lost  !!!  Grrr.....So here it is again!

I have a pic16f84a on a circuit like:

4mzh osc. w/ 2 * 22pf cap to ground... 5v to VDD and VSS to ground.

When I use the oscilloscope and look at the oscollators OSC1 & OSC2 I'm only getting a signal from OSC2 but noting on OSC1.  Anyone know what the problem may be ?

Thanks
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

The probe extra load kills the oscillator, maybe.
