I have heard of this happening to someone else. Perhaps contacting Microchip
technical support will help. I saw your post on the user's forum. Is there any
device that the unit will accept? That is, does it communicate at all to the
PS+?
I have a virtual COM port which ruined my flash upgrade and there's no way that I
can recover it so I'm out $38 for the upgrade. I would hope that Microchip could
help you out with this. I'm trying to find a solution, too. It seems like
there are a few problems with V6.xx of the IDE software, even though I love the editor and
didn't have any problems personally until I got my laptop and had to use a virtual COM
port.
I hope it works out for you,
Scotty

They will ship you out a new upgrade module and probably have you send the damaged one back to them - or they may even just replace the programmer. Microchip's tech support is top notch - give it a try. dwayne -- Dwayne Reid <> Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax Celebrating 20 years of Engineering Innovation (1984 - 2004) .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .- `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' Do NOT send unsolicited commercial email to this email address.
