Hi out there,
I know this might me the wrong spot i cyberspace for
this issue, but I'll give it a go anyway:
Has anyone "been-there-done-that" in fixing the Picstart plus ? One anaolg switch runs hot (800 mA's total current), and replacing it doesn't help. It is downloaded (or something) from a nearby component, and I don't have a schematic. Is this a "known error" (not by the local supplier
anyway), that is obvious for some ones ? Which component should I attac next
?
All the best'
Sven

It has been my experience that Microchip is very generous in repairing or replacing development equipment. (At least in the US) Have you contacted Microchip technical support? I am guessing that you are not located in North America but I would suggest a call to Microchip technical support if you can manage it. By the way, it has been my experience that components that heat up are not the root cause of failure. Also, replacing parts with no schematic = bad idea. > > Has anyone "been-there-done-that" in fixing the Picstart plus ?
