I have been looking at the specs for both the Epson SG-615and the CMX 309 series SMT crystal oscillators and they both show pin 1 labled OE. However, the specs do not show how/why it is used. How would I wire that pin (GND or +5V)? Perhaps I can safely ignore it? Any enlightenment will be appreciated except, perhaps, from Vasile Surducan :>{ ) TIA Vic ________________________________________________________ Victor Fraenckel - The Windman victorf ATSIGN windreader DOTcom KC2GUI Home of the WindReader Electronic Theodolite Read the WIND "Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival." - Winston [Leonard Spencer] Churchill (1874 - 1965) "Dost thou not know, my son, with how little wisdom the world is governed?" -Count Oxenstierna (ca 1620) to the young King Gustavus Adolphus "People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." -George Orwell |

How would I wire that pin (GND > or > +5V)? Perhaps I can safely ignore it? OE implies it is active high, and enables the output when tied high. I'd contact the supplier to make sure. According to the data sheet http://www.eea.epson.com/go/Prod_Admin/Categories/EEA/QD/Crystal_Osci llators/all_oscillators/go/Resources/TestC2/SG615PCN tie OE high or leave open to enable the output. --- In , "Vic Fraenckel" <victorf@w...> wrote: > I have been looking at the specs for both the Epson SG-615and the CMX 309 > series SMT crystal oscillators and they both show pin 1 labled OE.
