This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions,
flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.
We have a SF1000 (SF1004, SF1008) working with a BL2100 board. We've
connected to some 'spare pins' and setup bit banging. That's just for
development. When the program has been developed we can change to the
programming port by changing some #defines and it will run considerably
faster.
The pins we connected to are:
Name - Rabbit Pin - SF1000
Rx - PD7 - SER_OUT
Tx - PD6 - SER_IN
Clk - PD2 - SER_CLK
CS - PB6 - /CS
If you email us we can send you the test harness we wrote to confirm the
SF1000 can be connected to the BL2100. It initialises the SF1000, and then
writes and reads a block of data to confirm the SF1000 is working.
