Discussion Groups | Rabbit-Semi | RabbitNet and Rabbit I/O Chip

This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions, flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.

RabbitNet and Rabbit I/O Chip - fairy_dave - Jul 18 8:30:58 2008

Howdy all,

Has anyone made use of the Rabbit I/O chip as a hub in the RabbitNet
system for more Rabbit I/O chips? From what I'm seeing it should be
possible to use one (or more?) Rabbit I/O chips to get up to 49 Rabbit
I/O chips working on your Rabbit, with wire lengths of 10 to 45 meters.
This is exactly what I'm looking for on my latest project (25+ nodes of
Rabbit I/O chips with comms cables of 25+ meters). However as it's a
hardware thing it's completely out of my expertise so I'm wondering if
anyone else has worked on similar systems.

Dave
