This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions, flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.

im using a rabbit microcontroller (rb2100)with an in build wavecomm modem that can be used to send or receive sms
my quetion is : is it possible to send an sms from the board to a particular port(say port 16001)of a mobile phone(nokia or sony erricsson)?
i use AT commands to send sms to cell phone and normal sms to the default port (INBOX)can be send successfully
but my project requires me to send an sms to a particular applicaion port of my cell phone ...
if anyone knows anything about this please tell me about it....

This would be a question for WaveComm Technical support.
I just returned from a WaveComm Developers Training class in North Carolina
last week, and Their Technical support can answer this type of WaveComm
related question, call them at

I still do not understand why you do not contact Wavecom with your
questions.
I have forwarded this email to Brad Teeter with Wavecom, to allow him to
