Discussion Groups | Rabbit-Semi | DLM/DLP and RabbitWeb

This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions, flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.

DLM/DLP and RabbitWeb - tarisltd - Aug 23 18:15:11 2009

Hello,

I need a firmware updating in my application. I decided to use the core module RCM3309. Has anybody tried to use DLM/DLP images for updating firmware? I would like to known your opinion about this Rabbit update possibilities. Is it possible to use RabbitWeb technology in the DLP program?

Best regards
Taris

Take a look at Scott Henion's solutions SHD-DLM.shtml>. I used parts of one of his downloaders to take a
file downloaded from a web server and install it on an RCM2260. You
could probably use the HTTP_UPLD.C or HTTPUPLD2.C samples as a
starting point for being able to upload new firmware via a web page
and then install it with some of Scott's code.

Dynamic C 10 users can use the Remote Program Update feature of
Dynamic C 10.54 and later to do firmware updates on many of the
Rabbit 4000- and 5000-based products.
