This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions,
flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.
Wireless Applications - Phahee - Oct 5 2:33:16 2009
Hello Friends,
I have been using RCM3200 so far. Now I need to move towards wireless
applications. When I checked online
I could find RCM4400 and RCM5400 with WiFi. Is there any Rabbit 3000 cores
with WiFI?
If I need to go for rabbit 4000 or 5000 I need to go for Dynamic C 10.56.
Does this version of Dynamic C include
The libraries and samples for wireless applications? Or Do I need to
purchase them separately?
Thank You
Phahee

Hi Phahee,
I am using the RCM5450W and the download for 10.56 includes all the code you
need to drive the WiFi etc.
There is no WiFi for the 3000 series unless you develop something on your
own using a serial to WiFi adaptor available from the likes of Wiznet.
The RCM4400W is no longer sold and is available only for legacy users.
There is a very nicely priced dev kit for the RCM5600W that you might be
interested in. You can download the latest 10.56 and have a look yourself.

Hi Dave,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply. I tried to download DC10.56, but I
could not. Because instead of "download now" link it shows "Contact Us"

I just checked myself and it is indeed a contact us!!
Wonder if they have change the policy about free download?
Will have to wait and see.
Go ahead and contact them and see if you can still get it. You can still
download 10.54 which will give you a good insight to what is available!!
