Some time ago I managed to get (under NDA) the programming info
from Xilinx so now I can program one of their coolrunners via JTAG
with my

i.e. the
board CPU does its JTAG access etc.).

Parts obsolescence is biting again, and at least one of my EEs is
insisting that we spin replacement boards with soft-core processors in
FPGAs.
There are several things I don't like about that.
First, how robust are these systems. What if power is lost during
updating the configuration dev...

What tool options would the cognoscenti suggest for a UI design

animation or video. Probably ARM based, but could be PIC32 or
something else.
Thanks for any suggestions.

comes to the first STR instruction I get "Could not stop device"
ERROR. When I don't step the code it goes to some garb...
