Hi,
I would like to see what sort of compiler optimizations are
beneficial for an ARM7 processor. For some other processors,
like the PowerPC or Infineon TriCore, there are so-called
"Compiler Writer's Guides" that tell a compiler writer what
processor features should be taken into account to...

Hi i've decided start learning ARM7 microcontrollers
planning to buy this board
http://www.olimex.com/dev/sam7-p64.html
is it worth it?? Are there any other good arm7 boards (ATMEL or
phillips LPC)
...
Has anyone that's used Atmel's ARM7 based CAP7 willing to share their
experiences? I'd love to hear them.
CAP7 appears to be a hardwired ARM7 core with mask programmable user logic
blocks. The end result will be foundry sourced device. (I hope i have my
terms right.)
Anybody?

I was looking up comparison tables of spec, MIPS, DMIPS and BogoMIPS
figures for various architectures, and wanted to see where do the ARM7
ARM9 and Xscale stand.
People were using Linux on the 386 at 25MHz which would be roughly
10MIPS, roughly 1/6th of the current ARM7 microcontrollers. Of...

Is any one using gcc on this part?
I have used gcc with a 7520 Netsilicon ARM7, but I wasn't sure if that means

Hi,
We have to tackle a new job that is going to use VOIP. I am wondering
whether the ARM7 series from Philips would be up to the job or if it
would be better to go the PC-104 route.
The plus points on a PC-104 system are:
a) Ethernet interface
b) OS such as linux available
c) Mass stor...

Hello experts,
I am using ARM7 for a project that needs to handle about 1 MB of systemdata

Hello All,
are there really still no small (e.g. 128K Flash, 100 Pins) ARM7
derivatives with non-intrusive realtime memory access?
As far as I see, they all need an interrupt routine to send
information to the host.
Maybe I didn't search hard enough?

We are trying to decide on whether to use ARM7 or ARM9 core in a ASIC
design. One major consideration is system power consumption. From what I am
told, the ARM9 consumes twice as much power as the ARM7, but most of this
extra power is used by the cache. It is hard to believe that the cache
