hello, just found this info about new family members in the Atmel ARM7
microcontrollers..
the AT91SAM7S look really great :

I'm using an Evaluation Kit (AT91SAM7S-EK) from
Atmel, and early there were some forums at
www.at91.com but now there gone. When I click
on the forum button, the server responds with:

Hello experts,
For a new project, I am considering the AT91 series of ARM processors from
Atmel.
Anybody here have experience with these processors, and the tools?
I know the "which compiler is best" is a very "religionbased" question, but
nevertheless I'll give it a shot.
So, in your op...

Hello,
I am using the basic USB example on WinARM from
http://www.siwawi.arubi.uni-kl.de/avr_projects/arm_projects/index_at91.html#at91_usb1,
namely the AT91SAM7 USB Example 1.
Additionally, I am using PWM mapped to PA0 to PA2, 10kHz PWM, Period
of 4800, Duty Cycles of 1200, 2400 and 3600...

Hello,
Has anybody already worked with this microcontroller family? Which is your
opinion?
They seem very interesting because they use an ARM7 core processor and
include very useful communications peripherals (ethernet MAC, usb
controller, ...)
Does anybody know if there are free developing...

Hi,
i'm working on a AT91SAM7X-EK development board, and i'm trying to
figure out if the normal at91 watchdog behavior can be changed or
workarounded because:
"The Watchdog Mode Register (WDT_MR) can be written only once. Only a
processor reset
resets it. Writing the WDT_MR register reloads ...

Hi,
Im working with the AT91RM9200. I am confused about the distinction
between the Advanced Peripheral Bus and the Advanced System Bus..what
are they used for?
Someone kindly elaborate

I am trying to decide what flavor of the AT91 series ARM ucontrollers to use for
a low cost, low volume product.
I need 4 channels of 10 bit ADC, and 4 channels of 12 bit DAC (though I could
get by with two 10 bit and two 12 bit), hardware PWM would be nice, but I guess
I could do it in softwa...

In my new arm7 design I was biased toward the atmel AT91 seriesbecause I like
the AVR chips so much, but after some research and pointers by nice foks such as
rickman and Leon, I decided to look toward other manufacturer's offerings. One
thing I discovered is that the flash in the atmel chips (w...

Hi,
Does anyone know of a source for samples of any of the chips in the
AT91SAM7 line? My standard net searches show only the dev kits
at $250. I don't really want another dev kit, since I already
have the full IAR ARM compiler and have done several designs
with the AT91R40807. I'd like ...
Hello,
I'm looking for a good OS to use with a new project that, probably, will be

They have BDSL and IBIS models on the at91.com site - isn't one of
those an Orcad part file? I don't know as I don't use orcad.

I'd greatly prefer avoiding an RTOS if possible--but I do need DOS file
system and TCP/IP capability.

Hi All -
I'm trying to set up my code to execute out of internal SRAM on an
AT91FR40162 using the IAR EWARM toolset. Does anyone have any advice
on how to do this?

remap) and the remap command moves the internal SRAM to ...

Hi everyone.
I have a program running on my AT91 board (using AT91R40008) that can send
data to flash via xmodem. I also have an ARM AXF file that I want to burn
into the flash. How do I format the AXF file to burn it into flash? Do I
burn it directly or does any formatting need to take place.

I think it is critical to know sample rate and resolution.
