Ethernet Multiplexer Implementation - 04:53 02-01-06

Hello All,,

I need to implemention Ethernet Multiplexer in FPGA.
I need to draft the requirement specifications also.
Can any body guide me on what Ethernet Multiplexers are actually
used for ....?

Any core area of application for Ethernet Multiplexers (FPGA
Based).
Please suggest me some good documents, data sheets, URLs, books
what ever you can.

     Thanks in Advance
     Kedar

It is actually you that has to specify the term multiplexer.
A multiplexer usually allows multiple lines to selectively
connect to one plug. An ethernet switch does that already.

It is the message content that makes the switch behave as
it does.
