Hi everybody, i'm new of this group. I've to do a CAN bootloader for mc9s12xep100 microcontroller i've read AN2546 and AN3391 application notes but at this moment i'm a little confused. Some of you have already write a bootloader for this family? Can you explain the step i've to do to write a bootloader? Thanks Fausto ------------------------------------

Dear All, I am trying to measure analog signal's period on HCS12 using timers but the problem is according to my little experience, timers need to specify either falling or rising edge or both but in here this isn't the case, because i need to start the timer as soon as the signal value reaches a threshold value.. am in desperate need for any ideas Thanks a lot -----------------------...

Hey All, I'm working on a project with a Dragon12 board running codewarrior for the code. i'm trying to get position control of an arm connected to a motor. I manged to get this done, but it kinda oscillates and so my professor suggested i analyse the position values to get a proper proportional control value. i'm trying to use SCI to get output my position error values so i can plot them. ...

Hi, I'm a college student. I'm working on a project for school. It is a lap timing system. Basically have a infrared detector and emitter, that once the detector senses the infrared emitter would send out a signal to the HCS12 microcontroller Port T which is the timing counter to count how many seconds in between laps. I've got the circuit working but the C program using Imagecraft is not displayi...

Hi, At work we've been migrating our hardware from the MC68HC11A1CFN3 to MC9S12XD256MAG. Everything is working fine, but we're running into a weird issue with one magnetic sensor that cropped up. What's happening is when the pulse accumulator is setup to get pulses from the sensor, it works, but appears to randomly start losing pulses. Like for example, say I had magnetic data at points x, ...

Hello everyone! I'm a begginer in MCU programming. I was trying to make my MCU get access the flash and write n-bytes on it, for when I reboot my MCU keep this bytes on the flash, for future use. I program in Assembly and my MCU is HCS12X. Can you make a tutorial or a example for me? (explaining how write and read) Thank you very much! ------------------------------------

Hi all, I successfully designed and realized a project using a now extinct HC12 processor back in 2003, so I am now trying to use the 9S12DJ64 to take its place. I have two questions: 1) I am using a Pierce oscillator on my 9S12DJ64 with an 8 MHz crystal (R_B=10M, with coupling caps into EXTAL and XTAL both at 22pF), PE7 driven low, VDDPLL bypassed to GND with 100nF. The PLL components a...

I have two s12compact boards from elmicro, s12dg256 and s12dp512. I just got the s12dp512. Are there any changes that need to be made to the programs for the s12dp512. I tried running a program that uses the DAC which works on the s12dg256 and it doesn't work on the s12dp512. Program details: The program gets a value from the ADC does some calculations and outputs a value on the DAC. When ...
