Hi, I realize this is off-topic, but I realize there is a lot of experience out there. I've a customer who would like to interface a relatively large compact flash card (1 GB) to a microcontroller/microprocessor. He'd also like about 1 GB of RAM. Not a task for the S12, but does anyone have any experience here? Can you recommend a processor?

I recently upgraded a FORTH metacompiler to target the HCS12 rather than the HC11. This metacompiler produces standard S19 files as used to program the HC11. My test system is a MOT DP256EVB using NoICE via BDM. I looked through this group's archives pertaining to flash

Should I expect flash programming to be possible with 3.3V supply? my programmer reports that pages 6 & 7 can not be erased, though its fine at 5V. In another thread "HCS12E PWM's" I thought my target did not work at 3.3V it turned out that I had the wrong reset chip fitted, so I

Hi group. I'm using Metorwerks codewarrior with the micro MC9S12A256B. I have 2 question: 1.I need to have a device with the Flash secured. The mask of my micro is the 1K79X, so I have to use the micro in unsecure state in order to program EEPROM and Flash for example in the bootloader. So I have used the backdoor access key: am I sure that the micro is still secured if I use the firmware...
