Hi, I am using the above compiler for our development. Currently I am developing on the SAM7S-EK where we changed the MCU from revision E to G. I run into some troubles with timer interrupts. When I setup the timer 0 interrupt the system completely hangs. When I attach the debugger the PC is somewhere in the 0xff...... region. I have checked that

Hi I'm a recent convert from the Atmel AVR line to the ARM line and am looking for advice on 'C' compiler. I am a hobbyist on a budget but don't mind spending some money on a good 'C' compiler. What I've seen a Keil they are way out of my price range. that leave's IAR ImageCraft GCC far as I know,

Take a look in port.c, at the function prvSetupTimerInterrupt(). This installs a different handler depending on the pre-emption setting. The tic= k ISR is set to either vNonPreemptiveTick() or vPreemptiveTick(). None of th= e interrupt

I could spend half the day digging through documentation, but if someone could quickly point me in the right direction, I've got a couple of questions: 1. Does someone have a quick reference to the memory map I can expect on the 9XE-EK? I've been using SDRAM as a cast of AT91C_SDRAM, , but I need to be a little smarter about how I use it and knowing when I'm going to stomp on GCC using it....

Hi all, I'm working on setting up a development environment using Kdevelop and FreeRTOS for the SAM7S64. It's taken a bit of work because the FreeRTOS port and demo app weren't finished and all of the ISRs had to be rewritten, among other things. I've also got it working (to some extent at least) with a remote J-Link JTAG pod. For troubleshoot

Hello everybody, this is my first post to this group - I just started with the AT91. I downloaded a demonstration program (AT91SAM7 Interrupts Example blinking LEDs) for the AT91SAM7S, compiled it (arm-elf-gcc) and loaded it into my AT91SAM7S-EK with sam7s2565 dev board. The program has the standard C startup code that I encounter everywhere. The execution however gets stuck in the AT91F

Hi all, I've got an AT91SAM7S256 on the subject's evaluation board, and I can use it with some simple code that blinks leds, read/write from UART0 and DBGU, count time and use interrupt. I develop with Eclipse, gnuarm's gcc toolchain, OpenOcd & friends on a linux box. Now I want to use FreeRTOS, I downloaded it from the official site, but I can't compile it. Also I didn't found a demo a...

I have just uploaded the latest FreeRTOS version - V3.2.1. This includes two new demo applications - both targeted at the SAM7X (which include an integrated MAC peripheral). Both demos implement a simple WEB server within an [open source] fully pre-emptive application. The first uses uIP and the IAR compiler, and the second lwIP with GCC and CrossStudio. See

Hi, I'm porting IAR code to WinARM, AT91SAM7S64. I get a lot of warnings that 'pack' attribute has been ignored. Should I=20 worry about this and what can I do to remove the warnings? Further I also get the warning "cast increases required alignment of=20 target type". Does this mean that the code is now misaligned and will=20 not work?
