The same thing can happen just by restarting Windows on XP machines. It sounds like the ATN line is toggling when the USB dongle is connected. You may need to disconnect the ATN line between the serial cable and the processor to prevent this from happening Here is the info from the manual: Serial Port Connector Once you've downloaded a program to the BX-24 chip, the development board's ...

Hello World of BX-24 ! I have written this little program to control X10 appliance connected to B3 House Code Device code. The BX-24 is connected to an XM10E-120 device which send the X10 order to the main 230 V of the house But nothing work and first I question the cabling of what Pin of BX- 24 should be connected to what pin of the XM10E-120. Hi Everybody, I've messed with Basic Stamps for a while and have upgraded to BasicX products, primarily the BX24 Development Station. Unfortunately, I'm running into errors on the most basic of things, downloading the Hello World program. When I push the F5 button to compile, download, and run, I see a window pop up that says "Halting BasicX" a few times, but it disappears. Howev...

Hello fellows I'm looking for a weight scale with an analog output (4-20mA or 0-5V) to connect to the BX24. The range doesn't need to be bigger than 0-1Kg and the precision doesn't need to be higher than 1g. As a second choice RS232 output is acceptable. Any ideas? Thanks in advance David M. ------------------------------------

According to schematics BX24P uses ATmega8535 chip, wich has hardware I2C support. I wonder, has anybody tried to use this interface from BasicX program? As I understand there are several questions here. First, access to TWI registers. I hope it can be done via RAMPeek/RAMPoke. Second, there is no way to use TWI interrupts for communication control.
