I have a BX-24 with 32K EEPROM using the 2.1 downloader. The program reads and stores data using this statement: Call PutEEPROM(CurrentAddress, sngTemp1F, ElementSize) with current address above program end at starting at 20000 and element size being 4.

Hi, I'm getting 'verify failed' after performing a 'rescue' on a bx24 chip. It became unresponsive after I power cycled it a bit quick. I now get Error verifying external EEPROM: Data error at address 0: Expected value: 111 Actual value: 0 Has it died? Is there any way to fix this? Thanks

When i download my code it always attempts to halt but never seems to work correctly. It always says that the code failed etc. Failed to write eeprom. Failed to verify. That sort of thing. The thing is when i press reset or execute -the new code has downloaded and is working. Software bug?

Persistent variables are stored *only* in the 512 bytes in the internal EEPROM of the Atmel chip (-32 bytes for our own stuff). To store more than this you can use Put and GetEEprom to make your own variables, or use the Source Statement as discussed before to make your own data tables.

I just moved a battery-powered project from one desktop development machine to another and started seeing Verifying external EEPROM Verify failed, retrying Verify OK reliably. If I move the DB9 back to the first machine, the first verify failure disappears. I see it with different processors, too. The only change is the serial port. Odd. Tom
