Hi, I just started working on my 3rd year group project in elec engineering where we have to design an ECG, my part of is to connect and program an LCD to display the heart beat of the horse. We're goin to use an AT91EB55 evaluation board with an AT91M55800A on it, so far i just found the pins we're goin to use and finished wiring the LCD to the board. I know i have to use C language on ...

Hello, I'm currently making the initial design decisions (and hence the most important ones) about a project, which will involve a processor running Linux. The project's initial definition is to take data from an MPEG video chipset and store the stream in a long file on a Disk-on- Key. So the concept is simple: Write a driver for whatever video hardware we're going to choose (still not ...

Hi, I've recently started development with a Philips LPC2103. I know Atmel has a site, AT91.com, which I found useful for AT91SAM stuff. I'm looking for suggestions or recommendations on websites/forums that discuss using the LPC21xx parts. I did the Google search already but ended up at sites that archive "the real" forums. If it makes a difference, I'm planning on using the ...

Hi, Im trying to interface two 128Mbit SDRAMs (MT48LC8M16A2) to the AT91RM9200, but it doesnt seem to be going right. I have a custom board for the AT91, and a seperate board for the SDRAM, the two are connected through an ordinary ribbon cable. The master clock of the uC is running at 60Mhz. To test the integrity of the RAM, im writing data to a series of locations, say from 0x2000_000...

Hello, members! I want to add a debugging stub on AT91RM9200 target,I've looked at some information about it,but i don't know how to write that AT91-stub.c? Introduction is: On the host, GDB already understands how to use this protocol; when everything else is set up, you can simply use the `target remote' command . On the target, you must link with your program a few special-purpos...

Hello, We're having two ethernet problems with an Atmel AT91RM9200 CPU based construction. I'm interested if we are the only one having these problems... Our first attempt were to use a 16MHz crystal and the AT91 built-in PLL and programable clocks to generate the required 50Mhz and 25Mhz needed for a Davicom DM9161 PHY and a Davicom DM9000 10/100 ethernet controller (thus giving us two e...

Hi All - I'm trying to set up my code to execute out of internal SRAM on an AT91FR40162 using the IAR EWARM toolset. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this? If the linker thinks ROM starts at 0x00000000 (which it does prior to remap) and the remap command moves the internal SRAM to address 0x00000000, there should be no problem simply copying the code from flash into sram before...

Hi, We build own at91 board with an AT45DB642 and 64MB of SDRam. Above I'll describe some details. At45DB642 is attached to at91rm9200 on CS0 and SDRam is using a 32bits of data path. We already tested both, and they are working without any kind of problem. We wrote data on At45DB642 and read it without errors, the same occured with SDRAM. What occurs is that when we run a program f...

Hi everyone. I have a custom board using the AT91R40008. It is actually quite similar to the AT91EB40A board so I am trying to port the Flash memory uploader code from the AT91 software library to it. Unfortunately, I am having problems because the flash memory uploader has a file called cstartup_flash.s which is linked to address 0x00. The 0x00 address read only and is used for the flash. B...

I'm working with the Atmel's patched U-Boot 1.3.4 for a SAM9G20 board (from http://www.at91.com/linux4sam/bin/view/Linux4SAM/U-Boot). I'd much rather be working with a more recent version (understandably, the U-Boot developers aren't very keen on support a version that's more than 2 years old). Does anybody have a more recent version of U-Boot working on an Atmel SAM9 board (e.g. ATSAM9G20...
