Ok, yes this is school work, but I'm handing tomorrow and I'm beyond doing any more work on it. So it does not matter any more but the problem is still bugging me. We were given a logic problem, we were only asked to use standard HC HCT Gates (NAND's NOR's Inverters). I also did a EEPROM solution, it's a five input one output function so the EEPROM was programmed with all 32 possible...

Hello, I have couple of those MCU's that I would like to read and program... Is there any cheap programmer that handle those ? Jtag maybe and some application that can read/write eeprom on this mcu ? I know that there is P&E Microcomputer Systems - Cyclone for Renesas But this price for a hobbyist is to expensive. Thank's for all the help. -------------------------------...

Hello i was looking at using a atmel 8515 or a pic (not sure which variant yet) for a project. The microcontroller will be connected to a max186 for analog aquisitions which will be stored in an eeprom, also looking at a keypad ,lcd,x10 and serial pc interface to configure the unit and download data from the eeprom.. one of my concerns on the 8515 is the price @10$ but i can use gcc, i ...

Hi.. Im new to embedded systems, iv started with the 89c51 uC. Ive never used a parallel eeprom with the 89c51, thought iv used a serial one with the i2c protocol (and had a tough time in getting the thing to work, using sdcc :-( ). My question is..can only a parallel eeprom be used to extend the RAM?? seems logical, or else how would the uC generate the address on its own?? Also, ca...

Hi! I'm trying to write a serial number to a Cypress FX2 EEPROM. I have used the hex2bix method, and it worked great. But my new method is to edit the binary file from the hex2bix, alter the serial number, and upload the new binary file to the FX2 EEPROM. I can find the serial number okay, and can alter it. But when writing to the USB device, nothing seems to happen. I have to re...

I'm new to C and am trying to write a byte to the internal EEPROM in a 18F45k20. I've done this in the past using assembly but now I'm working in C I figure there should be a function for doing this. I've found reference to write_b_eep and read_b_eep on the net but cannot see any reference to these in the MPLAB C18 Compiler Libraries documentation. What is the way to approach this? ...

I need to find a serial eeprom/flash chip with at least 2Mbit memory. Preferably I2C but any serial 3/2 wire system is OK as long as it can be run on low speed (~100khz). I have found several memories but all of them are surface mount models, and I need a DIP8. Small quantity order. Any ideas? Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone has experience with EEPROM endurence on Atmel AVR parts. I have a controller project that requires a real-time clock that I originally planned to implement via a DS1320+supercap. However, I recently found a prebuilt board that does 90% of what I want but does not include a battery/cap backup RTC. I can use one of the AVR timers to generate an accurate clock while i...

using: ImageCraft IDE v6.31 - ATMega64 One of the standard include files is "eeprom.h", included below. I am getting a compile error at the point marked with "#*#*". As you can see, this file does not include a test for ATMega64, so EEPROMwrite is not defined, which I assume is the problem. I'm getting into a realm that I don't understand. I need to know if either of the definitio...
