Hi all, I have to design a data acquisition system for two different signals. One is within the frequency range 300 hz (+ or - 25 Hz) and the other one is less than 5 Hz. I do not know the amplitude ranges of these frequencies(I guess it may depend on the sensors used). I do not know how to select the sensors and how to design the other hardware. If you can either give a pointer to me ...

Is anyone using 16M (FIR) IrDA ? Looking over the history via the magic of Google, I see a burst of interest around the beginning of the current century, and not much recently excepting perhaps HP err.. Avago. We want to make a portable device for reading some text. It is made for ourselves, and as a practice of course. So we want get a low cost on hardware. Some one suggest that MSP430 should work fine, but i don't know whether it can afford the loads. It seems that lacking of support free os for MSP430 is another problem. Is there any better choice?Any help would be appreciated.

Dear All, I am working on a project where we have some image processing algorithms written by my colleague. This is accomplished on a normal PC. What we need to do is drive the images on to an approximately 50 inch LCD TV. We are looking at 1080p resolution. We would need the code written on the PC to be completely ported on to a piece of hardware with its necessary peripherals such that w...

Hello out there, just asking for inspiration. I have a simulation which executes commands - everything ok. How to choose a firmware partner: Ask if it's policy to enable the watchdog timer. The correct answer is "no". If they say "yes" then you know that their code is dodgy, and/or their hardware is vulnerable and if the WDT is not going off occassionally, it probably will after the next modification.
