Hello world, Browsed couple days ago throuh the IAR 78K0 C 3.34B libraries and was somehow disapointed to notice that the the 32 bit multiplication was a 'traditional' one, i.e. one that does not use the microcontroller's own multiply instruction. I ported a routine that I originally wrote for Intel 805X and Dunfiled DDS C-compiler and here is the result. My version is 3-5 times fast...

Can anyone tell me how to set this compiler (IAR Embedded Workbench V2.31) up so that it outputs the correct .a37 file format for correct use by Flash Develpment Toolkit (V1.5), to download into the target H8S-2357 part? All the .a37 files generated by the built-in options seem to be formatted incorrectly for FDT, and consequently nothing meaningful can be downloaded to the target.
