Hi there, I'm trying to programme a USB to behave like a mass storage device and a network unit (rndis) as the same time (only one usb port), i mean, when i plug it to a windows PC i would like to see two new devices plugged. The only way i've found is to show the usb like a hub with virtual units connected to it, all handled by software. Does anyone knows another way? Thank you!!

I need to build a custom usb to usb bridge. At a high level it is like a one port hub with custom logic in the middle. So I need 2 usb ports, one host and one device, and a programable MCU. It needs to support Mass Storage Devices at USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480 mbps). I am hoping to use vendor libraries for the Mass Storage Device specification. I have found plenty of MCU's that support USB host ...

Hi guys, I'm looking at ways to update our companies firmware out in the field (it will mostly be fpga code in .bit format). A USB memory stick would work nicely for this. Do any of you have any recommendations on a microcontroller that has a USB host core? Or what about USB-OTG? The port would only use a memory stick, no HID devices, etc. Thanks Ron

Hi all, I want to build embedded system with USB-based communication device to transfer data and update the configuration. I've googled and found that the USB CDC class is not "standarized" (why do we need standards if there's so many of them??)..The USB CDC is divided into : 1) CDC - ACM : For old serial modems (including RS232-USB bridge/converter) 2) CDC - Ethernet : The "real" ethe...

Hello, I am currently working on a USB 2.0 bus powered application that I expect to consume more than 2.5W. As such, I wish to use two USB ports to power the application in a similar manner to that used on some USB bus powered external hard drives. Has anybody had any success in implementing such a scheme and remaining USB 2.0 compliant? In particular, I wish to "politel...

You remember about 5 years ago, PC's had serial ports and parallel ports. Right now I've got a laptop and it only has USB. I've been looking around for some sort of adapter device for converting USB to DE9 for serial ports, and also USB to DB25 for parallel ports. All over eBay, there's USB-to-parallel-port adapters that work as follows: There's a converter from USB to RS232 and it ha...

We built a little picosecond pulse generator box with a USB interface. The USB is directly into an LPC1768 NXP ARM chip, and we're using the USB stack and inf file that Code Red provided. It enumerates as a serial port. It's "unsupported", which means it's *really* unsupported. Under Windows XP, there's a small glitch. I can plug/unplug the USB cable, and it always makes all the proper...

In order to use -ANY- peripheral device connected to a USB port from true DOS, you -MUST- install a third-party, DOS-based USB software driver. True DOS knows nothing about USB ports, and can't access them without a driver. There are seve

Hi All, my first query on this excellent site :-). Am currently looking for some info on USB reset.
