Anyone get this to work? "JLinkGDBServer.exe" seems to run fine. Insight starts up, opens elf files fine. Insight appears to connect on port 2331 to localhost. Insight supposedly "downloads 548 bytes in 0.01s". Then insight goes into a loop of opening the "connect" box over & over Or Freezes on "Run". So, where is my mental step-by-step and the correct one not meshing? Th...

Hi All, I'm using an ARM Multi-ICE on a MCB2130 board (LPC2138) and debugging via gdb insight. So far, I've only been able to use the flash utility via ISP to flash the chip. The eventual product will only have a jtag connector, so I was wondering how I can flash the chip via jtag. I tried searching this list, but didn't find any posts that answered my query. Does anyone have any experi...

Hi Jim, FYI, the CDT graphical debugger in Eclipse is superior to Insight in terms of features and stability (Eclipse CDT uses the GDB Machine Interface Interpreter (MI) as opposed to the older Command Line Interpreter (CLI) interface that Insight uses). To get the debugger working with embedded targets (remote debugging) requires some patches

I've purchased an LPC2103 prototyping board (http://www.olimex.com/dev/lpc-p2103.html). I've purchased the ARM-USB-TINY JTAG unit, but it won't arrive until next week. I've set up the arm-elf- environment in FC6, and I've successfully compiled hello.c. I was able to simulate using arm-elf-gdb: target sim load break main run ... I've verified /dev/ttyS0 is working by using mini...

I finally have Open OCD (Running through eclipse) functioning on an IAR Kickstart board (LPC2106). Yea! I am unable to get it to run on a Keil board, the MCB2100 (LPC2124). The debugger APPEARS to program the micro but then it just hangs while the "launching" progress bar runs, forever. The console output when I start the debugger: (gdb) target state: halted target halted in ARM st...

Hi, Background: uC - LPC2214 compiler - arm-elf-gcc debugger - arm-elf-gdb / Amontec JTAG interface I had an idea when starting my current LPC-project to divide the flash into two program banks (sector 1-8 and sector 9-16 respectively). I also wanted to be able to compile a general binary file that would work in any of the banks. This (if I can get it to work) would enable new soft...

Hi everybody, I'm debugging my LPC2378 project in Eclipse (GNUARM, OpenOCD, GDB toolchain), and I don't see a way to view the various chip peripheral registers (FIO0PIN, TOIR, U0THR, etc) symbolically. I can only view them using the memory dump window by specifying the register's address, which is sort of clunky. I can view registers r0-15 just fine in the register window. Is there a way to ...
