Hello, I apologize in advance if that this is a broad question. I guess I need to start somewhere, and I believe this list is the best place to do so. I would like to interface a PC with a USB enabled LPC device. And this is where I am not sure where to start. In the past I have worked with FTDI chips, which come with an API. The API allows you to access features of the chip. When it...

Hello, I'm working on a project that'll require ethernet. I was hoping the LPC's w/ onboard MAC/PHY would come out before this project had to start, but alas, no such luck! I've done the CS8900A, RTL8019A and Asix 10/100 routes before on past projects, but this application needs to be minimal space and lowest netlist connection count as possible to r

Hello, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I've been working with microcontrollers for some time already, but only recently got into the LPC world. My first design with an LPC microcontroller is a single board computer based on the LPC2478, which I'm going to use for data acquisition in a research project. Since I'm planning to run a small Linux on it, I included SDRAM in the desig...

Hey everybody, We're about to design a development platform with the LPC 2378 and an FPGA (Lattice XP). Our problem is that the 2378 seems to support only an asynchronous bus, and we suppose that we will have problems with the clock. Has something similar been done before, and are there any application notes? Regards, fireprint

Hello all, I am totally messed up. I am trying to use Port1 (P1.16 to P1.31) of an LPC2148 as GPIO. I am trying for about two weeks now without success. I am using the arm-elf-gcc ver. 4.0.2 for windows. I took the startup assembly code from the "Hello World!" example downloadable in the files section of this group. We developed a prototype board with an LPC 2138 and JTAG interface. It worked initially as I was able to program it using the IAR and JLINK. After several reprogramming steps, the chip isn't responding anymore. I see activity on output ports that are used by my application this indicates the core seems to be fine. When I try to debug the application in IAR, I get
