Since 1985 I am doing industrial automation with embedded and PCs; for the embedded I up to now used mainly Motorolas, viz. 68HC912 & co, and always in assembler. C I use for 80x86 machines. Last year I bought two ARM LPC2119 stamps from Futurlec and did some programming with Keil uV3 and the Philips and Flash Magic flash utility. Rather simple job: UART0 goes to a keyboard/screen with a PIC16

Hi all members: I can get a Rx FIFO depth through FCR register, but how can I calculate the Tx FIFO size. According to the LPC2119 document, this CPU's UART is compatible with the 16c550's which has a certain Tx FIFO size while I cann't find any words about that in philipse's documen

Hi Marc, we are using the LPC2119 with a DeviceNet stack, and I don't see any pitfalls. For a Group-2-Only Slave the stack requires approx. 10 KByte of code space. The performance - compared to other micros we are using with DeviceNet - is outstanding. I have been working with mcb2100 eval boards (one is a 2124; the other is a 2129) for quite some time, but I just started evaluating the SPI interface. Apparently, my SPI master test code didn't seem to work on both ports, as virtually no clock signals were coming out of either SCK or MOSI pins. Luckily my luck changed today, after noticing the below clause in the SPI Pin Description...

Hi all. Got an interesting one. I am developing a "driver" for the RTC and have come up with a problem. As I understand from the datasheet the PREINT and PREFRAC registers need to be setup. My VPB clock runs at 58.96Mhz (same as processor clock), so by my calculations PREINT needs to be 1798 and PREFRAC needs to be 10368. ( I calculate it like this BTW: PREINT = vpb > > 15; PREFRAC = vpb &

Having trouble getting SPI interface to work (output only at moment to 12 bit DAC). Used the example provided with the LPC2119 but set it for a repeating sending byte on SPI, about 5KHz rate for testing DAC.
