I'm working on a design with an LPC2148. However, the LPC2148 has a long lead-time in the US. So I'm going to use a LPC2138 until the LPC2148 is ready. The obvious difference is the loss of the USB interface. The rest of the device appears to be electrically and software wise the same. Anyone can post a source code for the RTC of lpc2138 usign interrupts, I have a lot of problems because the counter flag interrupt doesn't appear, so the vector interrupt can never be generated. I have use the application note from philips (AN10382 Using the RTC efficiently in the LPC213x) but it doesn't work. Thanks in advance

I checked and the Device ID for the lpc213x and lpc214x are the same. lpc2148: 196389 lpc2138: 196389 How can I tell the parts from each other by using the isp commands. Better yet, how does Philips tell the parts from their LPC2000 flash utility as it can tell a 2138 from a 2148, even though the IDs are the same. The datasheet I have for the 2101-2103 only has the device ID for the 210

FYI, I just found out that for the JTAG interface to work proprly on the LPC213xdevices, P0.31 (/TRST) needs to be tied high....

FYI, I just found out that for the JTAG interface to work proprly on the LPC213xdevices, P0.31 (/TRST) needs to be tied high. (unless you are want to reset the JTAG interface.) This was not clear in the documentation. Regards, Jim

Hi, In reading the User Manual (for the LPC213x), I'm unclear on the meaning of the THRE bit in the LSR: Does this mean the entire Tx FIFO is empty? That is, I can write 16 bytes to it whenever LSR:THRE is set? Or, does it just mean that there's at least one byte of space available in the FIFO? The CrossWorks LPC21xx header file was generated from the register description of an LPC2124 which doesn't have these extra bits.
