Hi, I've managed to stuff up something, so that my MCB2130 board won't communicate with the Philips download utility. I'm not sure what I've done. I may have downloaded a hex file for an incorrect processor. Or maybe erasing the whole chip erases the boot loader. Is there something I can do to get it working again? Cheers,

I am using the Philips flash utility for LPC2102 and it works but about every other time (alternately) it gives me an error that it cannot communicate with the target. Usually I can just retry and it will work but of course I have to wait a couple seconds for the timeout and sometimes have to redo the reset and P0.14 thing. I just wondered if anybody else had seen this anomoly. Baud ra...

I've just finished implementing i2c interrupt driven communications between two LPC2100s. (LPC2129 for Master, LPC2131 for Slave). The code was done in ImageCraft C. (IMHO the ImageCraft C is easier to work with than Gnu for the ARM. Keil, IAR, etc... are just priced too high for a very small shop.) Philips needs to spend a little more time on their docume

Perhaps someone who is better versed in MMC SPI stuff should take a good look at Philips AN10406. There appears to be some problems with the example code it contains. Two issues jump right out in the file: spi_sd.c... In mmc_init(), look at the _second_ for() loop: ======== begin mmc_init() ========== int mmc_init( void ) { DWORD i;

Brian, I took your post and gave it the correct subject, you get a better chance of answers this way. I can only comment on the Philips LPC2294 and LPC2194, both with 4 CAN channels. Have a close look at the CAN Erratas (not fixed but Philips promised to have fixed devices out in Q2/06). The Erratas are not too much related to a gateway application m

I've been out of the ARM loop for some time now. That time I was going to use 2138, but it didn't work for me because of extra cycles added on IO writing. As I remember, during the subject discussion Philips promised 2138-type controller with fast IOs (in 6-8 weeks?). Does anybody know if there are any developments in this area? Thank you, Ge

This is a philosophical question, and although I am encountering it in relation to the LPC microcontrollers, I feel sure it applies elsewhere as well. Systems are too complicated to be bug-free. I will provide firmware upgrades. Philips admit confirmed bugs and suggest workarounds. Some time later, Philips might revise the chip design, so that a particular workaround is no longer necess...
