Hi I have multiple boards with LPC1114 (302). As per the design the system remains in deep sleep mode after initial setup of all the peripherals. An external interrupt wakes it up. After waking up the LPC1114 transmits some UART data and goes back to deep sleep. However the system is not transmitting proper UART data. It always transmits garbage values with dots and weird characters. If ...

Hello, I'm having some difficulties in setting the uart FIFO level lower than 14 characters. Whatever i try to write in the FCR register, the IIR register will always read 0xC1 (which means FIFO level 14) and my interrupt routine (triggered by RDA bit) will not trigger until i send 14 characters to the uart. The register gets set to this value regardless of what I actually write in it. This hap...

Hi all, I have a board with LPC2366 and Octal UART 16L788 . I have a code written for minimal operation of one channel of the UART. The receive and transmit works fine independently in interrupt or poll mode. But if I make a continuous loop to check TxEmpty and then load a byte in THR then I am missing some bytes in reception . I had zeroed the code and now the loop only check for RxRe...

I have a project using an LPC1768. This project has a requirement for 7 UART's, so I used three UART's on the LPC1768 and added two SC16IS752's, which are dual UART's with selectable I2C or SPI interface. I allocated SSP0 to one of the DUART's and SSP1 to the other. Each DUART has an IRQ line and I ran these back to separate EINT pins. Running the DUART's on separate SSP ports with separate interr...

I took my UART code out of the timer interrupt and put it into the main program loop. To my surprise, this cured the problem, although I can't see why; how can polling a UART and putting the data into a buffer affect an array and a string operation that aren't used until after the buffer has been filled? My thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Leon
