Anders, A lot of people use IAR tools who write to this board, so this seems an appropriate question. When I do Help-> About in my IAR environment, there are about fifty entries that cover various parts of the system, quite a few of which have MSP430 in their name. I just got an email from IAR that starts out "Support for MSP430x5xx Version 4.11 of IAR Embedded Workbench for MSP430 inc

Hi, Spec: IAR Version 3.42A, MSP430FG4618. In the register window of IAR, I try to set UCB0TXIE to a "1" (by typing in the value), but for some reason, the 1 is NOT accepted and instead the value is forced to a 0 (zero). Any ideas as to whether this is an IAR bug, or i'm doing something silly!? Vbr, Darren

Just got a new laptop and decided to pop on to get the newer IAR kickstart. On the TI website at: http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/iar-kickstart.html Includes the following comment: "Current Version: Version 6.00" However, IAR's own website lists 5.10 as current. Hi All, A little question about IAR V2.20; I've downloaded an example project from IAR (MSP430_C) which toggles the LED (simple) The thing is that IAR now uses the peripherals different than before example. I have a program written totally in assembler. I want to use checksums to track revisions. The IAR .lst checksum seems to include dates, etc. in the checksum calculation. I'd like to have the IAR tools generate a checksum only on the actual code - preferably using the IAR Linker's "Generate checksum" capability. Where do I find or how do I access the output of this generation?
