Hi all, I'm having issues on power up of my MSP430F149. When switching on system power (using ELPAC FW1805-760-NC) after it's been off for a while the chip doesn't seem to boot properly. It drives P1 all high (driving a 7-seg display) although it should be low. I'm also driving an LED and a DC buzzer (P2 and P5) which seem to work even though P1 does not. Now if I unplug the board powe...

I am trying to make a very basic wireless program using the MSP430 and EZ430 RF2500 system (it will basically have one microcontroller turn on the LED of another). I tried installing the standard SimpliciTI software for it. When I go to open the sample wireless application in the IDE, it's not there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that still didn't work. Does anyone have the fil...

Hi All, New to this list.. been on the LPC2000 one for a while, since that's the "other" MCU I use for projects. Right now, starting to get used to the 430, and am trying to get some code up and running on TI's 6903+430 board, as I'll have to write new code for it anyway. Basically, system setup seems to be fine.. I get my blinkyLite, the various buttons, jumpers and LED

Is it possible that after have downloaded an erroneous program in a MCU, it become impossible to reprogram? I have loaded a program which initialize ?wrongly? the stack pointer and now I cannot access it. I try with IAR, MSPFET, GDBPROXY but neither can connect to it. I?m sure the MCU is working since when I start it, it blink a LED at the very beginning (before crashing). Have you an idea

Hi all.. I am new to MSP430. I am working on project which is completely written in Assembly language and I want to convert the same into C. May I know how do I start for it, I already made flowcharts of the ASM code. Another doubt is, if I wrote C code in IAR Kickstart, Is there any tool available for simulation of my code. For example if my code is about to ON/OFF The led after 500ms...

I'm starting to get the hang of coding the MSP430 in C but I'm having trouble understanding the difference between the operands |= and &=. Hi, List. I am very new to the MSP430, so please forgive me if the answer to this is very basic. I am starting on a project involving a 4MUX lcd. I am using Kickstart with a MSP-FET430p410, fitted with an F413 and programming in C. I started with the usual LED flasher and progressed to driving the LCD through the FET. Everything was fine while I was plugging values directly into the LCD memory loc

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks quite well documented. A totally different world from when I looked for a forth for the MSP430 a couple of years ago. The 'G2553 is big enough to fit in a decent forth w/ space...
