I'm using pic 819 to control a stepper motor driver(mainly pulse and direction. RA0= ADC RA1= forward (faster pulse rate) RA2= reverse (faster pules rate) Both RA1 and RA2 delivers pulse rate when pulled high. The problem I'm having is when powered up it takes off in the fast forward rate. When I press the buton switch it moves to adc(which i

Hi, I was wondering if there is a preference ina aprticualr PIC model that is use more often for robotic. I know the 16f877a is a good general purpose but is there anything better. I mean, something that is 1) well supported, 2) has plenty of program memory 3) has the features that robot builders like like PWM ADC channels and what not. Again, it has to be something common. Maybe theres

Hello, I am looking at doing some fast ADC conversions and notice that the data sheets specify that CHold is not discharged between samples. So if I leave it on the same channel does that mean that the Tacq is much lower? It would depend on how much CHold droops during the conversion. Does anyone know the details of this? I am looking at doing this on a PIC16F877 and also a dsPIC30F3013...
