Currently I'm trying to get a 16F88 programmed on Picall hardware. It looks like it works though the led flash program doesn't (Wiz-c/FED). Could someone look over my shoulder and verify my settings? ;--------------------------------------------------------------------- ----

You're right, you do have to be careful and it is usually best not to parallel but, I will only be paralleling series runs that will be resistor matched to the supply voltage. Seeing as the load will only be on for a short period/pulsed and I am over spec'ing there should be no heat

hi guys, please have a look at my code. what i am trying to achieve is to take an analogue signal (2 pots,1k each, across + and - rails with wire to AN0) turn the pots up and down and switch 2 led's on, 1 when above preset level and the other when below (1 at a time). i know i cou

now i realise why i see so many questions regarding the timer. It seems the timer is complicated to use for even simple timing applications? What if i want to configure the timer for a two second delay? I still have to go thru this interrupt routine? I am trying to set up an led

well I got the programmer working. I burned it with F88 code, changed some port assignents etc as I now have more IO lines. Turned it on and all looked fine. Except, the mobile phone it should be communicating with is doing nothing, and I'm getting an error flashed on an led I have connected to the pic, 5 flashes, no phone detected... After looking at this I grabbed an old serial to u...

Has anyone tried this before? I want to use say the PIC12 to count down to say 24 hrs or any time given the light up a LED. Then loop back again start counting again. A none ending loop till I pull out the supply. Thanks -- ___________________________________________________ Play 100s of games for FREE! http://games.mail.com/

Hi. Well, after getting my new PIC, it didn't take long to get it going! Was a little worried at first! I can now receive using USART and then using the values taken put that in the PWM unit and there i have a dimming LED! Beats having a DA and few Op-amps! My question is about the PWM maths. I have read the datasheet but can't figure out how to calculate the frequency of the PWM. Maybe caus...

Hi, I'm new to PIC programming, and even newer to this group, I'm using a PIC16F84A to handle a project I am doing, I've managed to get 4 inputs working, which drive 4 LED's, but now I want to use four output to energise 4 12v relays, I'm using RB0 - RB4 as the output

Hi there all, I am new to this list. I have a project idea in mind and would like to share this with you guys. Firstly, I have very basic understanding of PIC Assembly but do by now know how to blink an LED. My project is as follows: I want to use a PIC16F88, as this is not too complicated and has all that I may require. I want to build an extra fuel injector controller, in which rpm (IG-) s...

Huh, i thought it is a well known product. I don't know the manufacturer, i know just the schematic, there are 2 led diodes coupled in anti-paralel mode, so only one can be lit at the given p0larity. To lit the other one you have to reverse the polarity. Of course you can't lit both

Lets ay you are on a budget and you already have some 16f877a pics laying around and a bunch of other parts (resistors, caps etc etc). You have your compiler and pic programer and what not. Hello! I'm about to use a PIC18F4620@20Mhz for now, but it is unable to start. The circuit is too simple (just a flashing LED), and if I use a PIC16F678A, the circuit works fine, bit it for the other PIC it does not. However, if I touch my MCLR 4K7 resistor with my finger, the chip (18F4620) works. What am I doing wrong? I've tried diferent capacitors for the crystal (from 22 to 68pf) but...
