Hello All, Please forgive me not Reading the *** manual, but I find interactive discussions far more productive. I'm about to have one the above mentioned boards delivered and I was hoping for a program that I could use to demonstrate the UART and File I/O capabilities of this micro-processor. Your basic the program writes out "I'm alive" on a uart, reads back characters from the uart, a...

Hi, I'm trying to send some bytes from a Microchip Pic to a Rabbit2000 via UART with TTL levels. What I get in Rabbit is that bytes but also continuously I get the 0xFF byte. The TTL level from PIC's TX pin is OK (5V in idle time), what's wrong? Any hint? Thanks! Jesus

I am looking to use the RCM3800 in a design and want to use auxiliary io to talk to a 4 port UART. I have read all that I can find on the subject and understand (I think) what is needed but the RCM3800 doesn't bring our *IORD and *IORW. It looks like I can program a port E strobe to be either but not both (on the same address space). This is a low volume (<100 units) design so

Hi everybody! I'm trying to interface an RF receiver module (aurel 4M30RR01SF) to the RCM3700 core. But I'm not very challenged with the UART management... I mean, I think that for the circuitry is enough to connect directly the pin DATA_OUT of the RX to a serial port (of course RX)of the rabbit, but is enough? I think no, but I don't know how to proceed,

Dear Rabbit gurus, I would like to use one of the Rabbit 3000 core modules to connection my device with PC throught ethernet. I would also need 1 SPI at 6Mbps and 3 seperate UART at 115K, 56K and 9600. Do you think I can get these with Rabbit 3000 module? What is Rabbit 3000's ethernet performance figure? Thanks. Jason

I am new to Rabbit,I have managed to get a TRIMBLE USA sensor board with limited literature for GPS. THE Board does have a TX out, I plan to use the data recieved in HYPER TERMINAL first, and then once successful . then feed it Rabbit. There are two inputs back to the Sensor. One is of DGPS, and the other says plain UART .Has someone worked on a project like

That's the device I'm looking at (max3111). I'm using it at 9600 baud. The problem that I having is understanding the configuration write operation. For instance, using the transmit with an interrupt handler; when the configuration register is written to enable or disable the Tx buffer interrupt flag, the receive FIFO is cleared. I have written device

The pinouts of the unit show the following pins: TX0 (Serial Out 0, NME...

I'm just looking for a sanity check to make sure I understand how the 9th bit of the serial port works on the R2/3k. The rabbit uart can only handle 8 bits, plus one start bit and one stop-bit, without using the 9th data bit. If you want to use 2 stop bits with 8-data bits, the software must put the second stop bit in the 9th bit. If you use parity with 8-data bits, software must ca...
