Well I'm not a musician, though certainly exposed
to it for much of my life (ex wife is first chair
french horn, mother was a pianist, grandfather
was an operatic singer) I just never picked it up myself (rebellion maybe?).

However, Midi I understand, its a protocol the
same as anything else. In fact its used in many
non-music applications as well (xmas lights spring to mind).

What do you have in mind?
