Have not used it personally, but I cannot see anything wrong using it.
It is a mature project, has full blown Linux support, you can use
standard monitors and keyboards for I/O, etc.
(Almost bought, then went for the TrimSlice below)
Stepping down to a more traditional "embedded" approach eBay is
flushed with small ARM boards with an LCD. (for example, items
190506664508 or 200609291886, + 190502377580)
Olimex has this: http://olimex.com/dev/stm32-lcd.html
Or stepping up from the Beagle Board, the TrimSlice barebone is
"readier" out of the box: http://trimslice.com/web/models
There are also the Beagle Board cousins: Panda Board, Hawk Board, Hawk
Board lite. Last time I checked the last one went for ~ $95.

I'm evaluating the Beagle Board for a small application. Any comments
on software tools and build environments are welcome. My project
involves interfacing to a small display and a keypad (between 6 and 10
keys) and communicating via ethernet to a master controller. This
board may be overkill for my needs but it is cheap ($150).
Comments welcome.
