Maybe their apps people will weigh in on this. I thought it was just
the 'samples' issue but I haven't pursued in the manuals. My
next
project will be using the 2138 or 2148 so I will get concerned, sooner
or later.

Richard,

Thanks, I'll look in the archives. Maybe Philips changed their mind as
the user manuals for the 213x and 214x list the IDs as the same.
lpc2131=lpc2141, lpc2132=lpc2142,...

I didn't believe it when I saw them in the manuals, but that's what I
saw.

This was discussed a while back. It seems some early "sample" 2148s
got out that had an incorrect ID. These were supposed to be for
evaluation, not distribution.

Search the archives here, I don't recall when it came up but within
the last 6 weeks I would think.

I checked and the Device ID for the lpc213x and lpc214x are the same.

lpc2148: 196389
lpc2138: 196389

How can I tell the parts from each other by using the isp commands.

Better yet, how does Philips tell the parts from their LPC2000 flash
utility as it can tell a 2138 from a 2148, even though the IDs are the
same.

The datasheet I have for the 2101-2103 only has the device ID for the
2103. Are the device ID for 2101/2 published anywhere?
