I did not start this Yahoo group. I'm not sure how you came to that
conclusion either...
Thank you for the positive comments about my web site. I do plan to post
my first impressions on the Make Controller Kit as soon as I get it and
some time to play.

David:
I am also very interested in the MAKE Controller Kit.
For me, what is missing:
Real Time Clock (battery backup)
SD Card slot.
Please let us know when you first get your kit, as I don't like to
pre-order.
(Fixed Ship Date? August 1st? Trust us, its going to ship as planned? )
Anyone else, let the group know when you receive it and your experiences
with it.
$150 is a great price for the board.

There is an AT91SAM7X256 Board from Priio.
The ARM7X Development Board is designed for prototyping, laboratory, and
OEM use. The board hosts an Atmel AT91SAM7X256 processor along with
RS232, RS485, USB, CAN, and 10/100 Ethernet ports. It also has an on
board Real-Time-Clock, an Optrex compatible LCD connector, JTAG, and
an MMC/SD socket.
Looks complete. There is also a *.pdf manual for it. $199. Not a bad
deal. Anyone bought one yet? I am thinking about buying one myself.

[Note from list owner: In general I want to discourage the posting of ads to
Yahoo groups. I spend a lot of my time reviewing new members so that I can keep
spam out of these groups. But I am going to make an exception for postings on
evaluation or prototyping boards only. For now this will be the only exception
to the policy and I will remove members who try to post ads for other types of
products. So please try to cooperate and not use the groups as your personal
bulk mailing folder... OK? This ad is the first I am letting through. If any
members don't want to see this sort of ad, please let me know and I will
reconsider the policy.]
The Make Controller Kit uses the AT91SAM7X256 ARM7 Microcontroller. I
have some details of the board at my site.
This "Kit" includes a breakout board with Ethernet, USB and terminal
strips for I/0. The microcontroller is on a separate board that plugs
in. The idea is to make it easy for people to do projects with the
microcontroller because all the surface mount parts are on the processor
board. The package cost $150 and will be shipping August 1st.
They are also including example software that runs freeRTOS and a TCIP
stack. I am anxiously awaiting mine.

Does anyone have an Eagle library part or project using the AT91SAM7X256?
Besides the development board from Atmel and the upcoming board from
Olimex, are there any other boards that anyone knows of that uses this
chip?
