This was explored, He is not willing!!

However, there is a simple patch available and pre-patched versions of
PCBUG11 are / (or at least were) availble at certain user sites.

But, why bother?? Go to http://freespace.virgin.net/john.beatty/index.html

and download the latest version of John Beatty's free Jbug11 which does it
right in the first place and is a currently supported product.
