I've used SecureCRT from VanDyke Software (www.vandyke.com) for years
and
highly recommend it, they also have a non-secure version available for
$34.95, http://www.vandyke.com/products/crt/index.html, that's more than
acceptable for basic terminal usage. A free trial is available.
Additionally, I've had success with the open source RealTerm, available
here: http://realterm.sourceforge.net/

http://www.ayera.com/ Teraterm - is good - includes Telnet and
COMn
PCcomm lite from Moxa - is so-so, that is, the terminal part of the
package

John,

I picked the link directly from the address line on my browser while viewing the
site itself.
Here it is again, directly from the site at 2055 EST March 21, 2006.
http://bray.velenje.cx/avr/terminal/
I have never had a problem reaching this site. In fact, I downloaded the latest
version from there this past weekend.
BTW: I am using FireFox as my web browser.

Your link seems to be broken. It would be great to see another
alternative to HyperTerminal.

Here is the home port of TERMINAL. It is a great program and is not
annoying like HT

Tryit, you'll like it!

Wanted to let everyone know of an alternative to HyperTerminal that
does not require setting up a "connection profile". It's simply
called Terminal.exe and I've been using it for several years. You can
download it for free from http://tariff.dcslab.net/download/
