Hi,
got some friends at NXP and according to them there will be an LPC2000
based micro with LCD interface soon. Seems to use similar IP as the
Sharp devices but don't know about details yet.
Don't dump the Sharp code and hardware yet, may be you can reuse a lot
of it!?
While I can't tell you the exact schedule, I understood that an
announcement will be done soon. (whatever soon means)

SSD1906. It drives a Hitachi TX09 QVGA TFT display.
It is running microwindows and initial tests have been good.
Also look out for a new STR93 family with onboard TFT driver - due out
very soon.

In fact I use on my product a 4,3" display with a 480x272 resolution (also by
sharp.. I hope they don't stop it also next month...)
I've to I'm actually looking around the SAM9261 from atmel but a
solution with a lpc2468 with a solomon systech chip may be good...

still an ARM.
Note the 128x128 12 bit color TFT.
Ummm.. the pin organization seems better on the STR912 than it does on
the LPC2378. For example, I can use all the timer channels and all the
ADC channels at the same time. That is important for my application.
