Hi,

We have been using the ON Semiconductor parts and have found them to be
100% compatable with the Atmel part. We have not tested the Microchip
version so have no input for you on that.
Best Regards,

Chris

Hello,

I use the BX35 and I need a replacement AT25256 or AT25256A memory module. Atmel does not recommend either one of these chips in new designs. Most suppliers do not carry any stock anymore. I need the DIP form factor.

I have tested the ON Semiconductor CAT25256LI-G and it seems to work well without any modifications to my circuit design. Also the Microchip 25AA256-I/P seems to be compatible but I have not tested it.

Does anyone here know if there are any issues with these chips? Is there a part that NetMedia recommends?

thanks for your attention,
