Subject: [AVR club] Help needed to program serial port of AT89C51Ac3

hi ..
I m using AT89C51Ac3 microcontroller using AVR workbench..I have to interface
this controller to send sms to another Pc through serial port using keypad. For
9 bytes of data code is woring properly but when i send 10th byte code got
hanged?
Can anybopdy tell me why this is happening ? Is there any limitation to send no
of bytes data at a time throgh seial port? or any memory limitation is there? I
have given 56h to 76H Ram memory location tomessage buffer ..Is there any
limatation of ram?
please help me to sort outt this problem...

Hello,
Are you tied to a serial version? This looks like a pretty simple programmer,
but if you have a spare parallel port, you can get an even lower parts count;
like "no" parts (the resistors are optional). Eddy Wright at Wright Hobbies
uses a version of the Sample Electronics Cable for his robots (check out the
cable itself at: http://www.wrightho bbies.net/ bots/ttbot/ sample_electroni
cs_programmer. pdf, and http://www.wrightho bbies.net/ guides/bascomsam ple.htm
will show you how to set up BasCOM AVR for that cable.) Do a search for the
Sample Electronics Parallel Programmer for more information about this. I have
successfully used this programmer on Tiny13s, Tiny2313s, 90S2313s, Mega48s,
Mega8s, Mega88s and Mega16s. It works great and is about the simplest
programmer for any controller that I have ever used.
