I have recently been developing a driver for the DM9000EP on the
LPC-E2294 board and seem to be having a bit of trouble. I am
working off the uIP source ported to 2294 from the Olimex site just
while I try get the low level parts working so I know they're doing
something. I had read somewhere that there's a wiring problem on
the board so I've been using it in 8-bit mode but I don't know how
to get the ethernet chip to work in 8-bit mode as well, just the
LPC, it seems to be hard wired.

Anyway, my main problem is that when I receive data it's reported as
being in 32-bit mode so the data is read as 32-bits, but it only
seems to read one byte of data and spread it across the rest of the
DWORD, so the packets I receive look something like:

0xFFFFFFFF 0xFFFFFFFF 0xFCFCFCFC 0x08080808 etc, with all dwords
consisting of the same byte patterns. I'm sure it's getting
something like what it should do as obviously the 0x08080808 pattern
is in the correct place for the ethernet header type field for a
type of TCP/IP (0x0800), it's just not being read.

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced a problem like this
before or knew of a possible solution?
