Dont fear, it is usually corrupted code downloaded to the target that screws arround with the Flash protection registers and then lock you out on the next reset. P&E has just the antidote for this shocker - "unsecure" its called, you can download it free.....now. Fred ----- Original Message ----- From: Yogeesh To: Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 1:31 AM Subject: [68HC12] A problem with ZAP ICD 6812(paged) V3.70a Hi, We are using M68KIT9S12DP256 Evaluation board (EVB), P&E multilink BDM interface, CXPROG and ZAP ICD 6812 (paged) V3.70a on Win98SE. The problem is that when we try opening ZAP, a dialog box comes up with the message "Can't find Target speed"!!! Clicking OK brings up ZAP configuration window. We were surpried to see that the Cable version was '??' and even after selecting DP256 as target, problem continues. We even uninstalled and re-installed everything. The connections are as below: * From PC's LPT1, thru a dongle, P&E BDM Multilink cable to EVB's BDM-IN. We have been using this setup for the past 6 weeks without any concerns. We encountered this problem when we tried loading an ".s19" file thru ZAP's command window. It started giving error messages indicating "INVALID RAM ADRESS" a lot of times.. We thought, it tried loading each record and is coming with this message and as the file was quite large, just did CTRL+ALT+DEL. And from then on, this has been ths state... Any help to resolve this issue is welcome.... Cheers, Yogeesh. Yahoo! Groups Sponsor -------------------- |
